RETURN AND REFUND POLICY

Thank you for choosing Debora Garcia Makeup for your makeup services. We strive to provide exceptional service and customer satisfaction. This Return and Refund Policy outlines our guidelines for all services offered.
1. Bridal and Special Event Makeup Services
This Return and Refund Policy applies to all makeup services provided by Debora Garcia Makeup to our clients.
By booking our Services, you agree to be bound by the terms of this Policy.
A 30% non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your wedding date, with the remaining balance due 14 days before your wedding.
1.1 Booking Deposits
a) All bridal and special event bookings require a non-refundable deposit of 30% of the total service cost to secure your date.
b) The deposit will be deducted from the final balance due for the Services.
c) Deposits can be transferred to another date with a minimum of 14 days notice before the scheduled service.
d) Deposits are non-refundable but may be transferable to another service at our discretion.
1.2 Cancellations
a) Cancellations made 30+ days before the scheduled service: Deposit remains non-refundable but can be applied to a future booking within 6 months.
b) Cancellations made 14-29 days before the scheduled service: Deposit remains non-refundable, and 75% of the remaining balance is due.
c) Cancellations made less than 14 days before the scheduled service: Full payment is required.
1.3 Service Satisfaction
a) If you are not satisfied with your makeup application, please inform the artist immediately during or directly after the service so adjustments can be made.
b) Once you have left the service location or the artist has left your location, we cannot offer refunds for completed services.
2. Online Makeup Consultations
2.1 Booking and Cancellations
a) Full payment is required at the time of booking for online consultations.
b) Cancellations made 48+ hours before the scheduled consultation: Full refund minus a 10% processing fee.
c) Cancellations made 24-48 hours before the scheduled consultation: 50% refund.
d) Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled consultation: No refund.
2.2 Technical Issues
a) If technical difficulties on our end prevent the consultation from taking place, you will be offered a full refund or rescheduling at no additional cost.
b) If technical difficulties on your end prevent the consultation from taking place, we will attempt to reschedule once at no additional cost. Further rescheduling may incur fees.
3. "Shop With Me" Services
3.1 Booking and Cancellations
a) Full payment is required at the time of booking.
b) Cancellations made 48+ hours before the scheduled service: Full refund minus a 10% processing fee.
c) Cancellations made 24-48 hours before the scheduled service: 50% refund.
d) Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled service: No refund.
3.2 Makeup Personal Shopping Service
The service fee itself is non-refundable once the service has been completed.
4. Gift Cards and Store Credit
a) Gift cards and store credits are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
b) Gift cards expire 12 months from the date of purchase unless otherwise stated.
c) Store credit expires 6 months from the date of issue.

6. Cooling off period policies
6.1. CANCELLATION AND CHANGE OF MIND (WITHIN FIRST 14 DAYS)
a) Services Scheduled Within the Cooling-Off Period: If you have requested Services to be performed within the 14-day Cooling-Off Period, acknowledge that your right to cancel may be limited.
b) How to Cancel: To exercise your right to cancel during the Cooling-Off Period, you must inform us of your decision by a clear statement (by email, to deboragarcia.mua@gmail.com ). You may use the attached model cancellation form.
c) Refund Following Cancellation During Cooling-Off Period: If you cancel during the Cooling-Off Period, we will reimburse all payments received from you, including the deposit, without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which we are informed about your decision to cancel.
d) Reimbursement Method: We will carry out such reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise.
6.2. CANCELLATION AFTER THE COOLING-OFF PERIOD
Cancellations made after the 14-day Cooling-Off Period will result in the forfeit of your deposit, but no further charges will apply.
7. RESCHEDULING
a) Requests to reschedule your appointment must be made in writing (by email, to deboragarcia.mua@gmail.com) at least 48 hours prior to your scheduled appointment.
b) Rescheduling is subject to our availability and may incur an administrative fee of 10% of the service fee.
8. BRIDAL TRIAL MAKEUP SESSIONS
a) This policy outlines the terms and conditions relating to bridal makeup trial bookings, cancellations, and refunds.
b) By booking a bridal makeup trial with us, you agree to be bound by the terms of this policy.
c) Bridal makeup trials are charged separately from the full bridal makeup service.
d) The current fee for a bridal makeup trial is £180.
e) Trial bookings are subject to availability and must be secured with a non-refundable deposit of 30% of the trial fee, payable at the time of booking.
f) The remaining balance for the trial is due 24h before the trial appointment.
g) Trial appointments typically last 90 minutes and include a Personalised Makeup Consultation and Makeup application.
h) Booking a trial does not automatically secure your wedding date. To secure your wedding date, a separate booking process and deposit are required as outlined in our Bridal Makeup Service Policies.
9. TRIAL BOOKING PROCEDURE
3.1 To book a bridal makeup trial, please:
a) Book at our website makeupbydgarcia.myshopify.com
b) Schedule your preferred date and time for the trial
c) Provide details of your wedding date and venue
d) Pay the required deposit
We will confirm your trial booking in writing once the deposit has been received.
We recommend booking your trial at least 2 months before your wedding date.
4. RESCHEDULING A TRIAL
a) If you need to reschedule your trial, please notify us at least 2 days in advance.
b) Rescheduling requests made with at least 2 days’ notice will not incur any additional charges, subject to availability.
c) You may reschedule your trial a maximum of 2 times.
d) Rescheduling a trial with less than 2 days' notice may result in the forfeit of your deposit, and a new deposit may be required to secure another appointment.
5. CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY FOR TRIALS
a) If you cancel your trial more than 2 days before the scheduled appointment, you will forfeit your deposit, but no further charges will apply.
b) Cancellations made less than 2 days before the scheduled trial appointment will result in the full trial fee being charged.
c) Trial deposits are non-refundable under any circumstances.
d) In the unlikely event that we need to cancel your trial, we will:

Offer an alternative date and time

If no alternative is suitable, provide a full refund of any deposits paid for the trial.
e) Trial makeup sessions are not included in the 14-day Cooling-Off Period refund policy once the service has been performed.
f) If you are not satisfied with your trial makeup session, please inform us immediately so that we can address your concerns.
6. RELATION TO BRIDAL MAKEUP SERVICES
a) The trial fee is separate from and additional to the cost of bridal makeup services for your wedding day.
b) Completing a trial does not obligate you to book our services for your wedding day, nor does it obligate us to provide services on your wedding day.
c) If you choose to book our bridal makeup services following a trial, a separate Bridal Makeup Service Appointment must be booked, and a separate booking deposit will be required.
d) The cost of the trial is not deducted from the price of the full bridal makeup service.
7. LATE ARRIVAL POLICY
a) If you arrive late for your trial appointment, your appointment may be shortened to accommodate our schedule, with the full trial fee still applying.
b) If you are more than 20 minutes late, we reserve the right to treat this as a cancellation, with the cancellation policy (section 5) applying.
8. SPECIAL CIRCUMSTANCES
a) We understand that emergencies and unforeseen circumstances can occur. In cases of serious illness, bereavement, or other exceptional circumstances, please contact us as soon as possible to discuss your options.
b) Any decision to waive fees or allow exceptions to this policy is at our sole discretion and will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
9. COMMUNICATION
a) All bookings, cancellations, and rescheduling requests must be made in writing via EMAIL/WEBSITE or confirmed in writing following a telephone conversation.
b) We will acknowledge receipt of all communications within 12 business days.
10. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
a) We reserve the right to amend this policy at any time.
b) Any changes to this policy will not apply to bookings already confirmed in writing.

12. EXCEPTIONS
a) We reserve the right to refuse refunds in the following circumstances:
- Where Services have been fully performed with your acknowledgement and consent

Where you have received a trial makeup session and subsequently booked the same makeup artist

In cases of client misconduct, harassment, or abusive behaviour towards our staff
13. DISSATISFACTION WITH SERVICES
a) If you are not satisfied with our Services on the day, you must inform us immediately to give us the opportunity to rectify the situation.
b) Claims of dissatisfaction made after the event will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis and may result in a partial refund at our discretion.
